Power Properties Turns 45
We’ve been managing rentals since the internet was just a science project.
Back in 1980, Power Properties opened its doors with a landline, a filing cabinet, and a mission to make life easier for landlords. We advertised in the Calgary Herald, answered phones that rang (loudly), and thought carbon copy leases were pretty high-tech.
A lot has changed—but our commitment to reliable, stress-free property management hasn’t.
We’ve managed thousands of homes in and around Calgary, and now we’re proud to serve clients in Edmonton, Lethbridge, and Medicine Hat too. We've grown alongside the industry, embracing the tech, the tools, and the endless updates—but what really matters hasn’t changed: good service, great communication, and doing the job right.
A Few Things That Haven’t Changed
The most urgent maintenance calls always come in on Friday at 4:55 PM.
We’ve processed rent every way imaginable—cash, cheque, e-transfer, credit card, even the occasional envelope under the door.
And no matter how digital things get, people still appreciate someone who actually picks up the phone.
